Q. How does SureSlim correct glucose metabolism?

A. Your body goes through a series of complex processes to digest food, turn it into energy, and utilise the nutrients it contains. Three key hormones involved in digestion and the metabolic process are serotonin, human growth hormone and insulin. They can also be responsible for weight gain and weight loss. When these chemicals are not balanced, the body goes into survival mode and begins to store fat.

SureSlim’s doctor analyses the results of your blood test as a baseline snapshot of your metabolism and health. Your SureSlim Eating Plan works with your body to stimulate or suppress these hormones which in turn corrects glucose metabolism.

Q. What is human growth hormone (HGH)?

A. This hormone, manufactured in the pituitary gland of the brain, has been dubbed the master hormone by researchers. It controls a variety of bodily functions and is thought to control all the other hormones in the body. Stimulation of the human growth hormone contributes to: • Reduced body fat • Increased muscle mass • Higher energy • Rejuvenation of vital organs • Restoration of youthful immune function • Stronger bones • Lower cholesterol • Lower blood pressure • Smoother, firmer skin • Sharper vision • Elevated mood SureSlim eating plans are individually formulated to increase your body’’s production of HGH to help you lose weight fast.

Q. What is serotonin?

A. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter which, when stimulated, creates a remarkable sense of wellbeing. Serotonin is responsible for making us feel satisfied and content after a meal. A lack of serotonin is often responsible for food cravings.

There are numerous ways serotonin production can be stimulated – nicotine, Prozac, and appetite suppressants all cause the body to release more serotonin than usual. But the most powerful and natural way to stimulate serotonin production is through food. SureSlim eating plans are designed to stimulate serotonin production in the correct amount at the right times, to help you lose weight and not feel hungry. Food cravings will become a thing of your past once your glucose metabolism has been corrected.

Q. Do SureSlim’’s eating plans have any negative side effects?

A. The eating plans are made up of regular foods from your local supermarket. Some clients may experience headaches and fatigue in the first week of the programme, especially those with a very active lifestyle, or those who suffer from a problem known as reactive hypoglycaemia. If you are quite physically active, we have a unique Sportsperson’’s Programme. After the first week of the SureSlim programme, your plan can be adapted to allow you to lose weight without changing your active lifestyle.

Q. Why do I need to go for blood tests?

A. There are three basic reasons: 1. To determine that you do not have a medical condition (for example diabetes, high cholesterol, gout or other ailments) that may be affected by the intake of certain foods. 2. To determine that there is no other pre-existing condition, such as thyroid malfunction, that may prevent weight loss or that may contribute to a weight problem. 3. The blood tests provide an evaluation of your glucose metabolism, which enables us to prepare the correct eating plan for you.

Q. What happens if SureSlim finds any abnormalities in my blood test results?

A. Unless you request otherwise, a copy of your blood test results will be automatically sent to your GP to ensure your records are up-to-date. If SureSlim’’s analysis finds any significant abnormalities in your blood, we will advise your GP, who is your primary carer, for medical advice. Your health is of prime importance to us and significant abnormalities in the blood test results may need to be assessed and treated by your doctor prior to the commencement of your SureSlim Plan. Our SureSlim doctor is available to speak with your GP about any issues arising from your blood test results.

Q. Are there medical reasons why a person should not follow SureSlim’’s eating plans?

A. Yes. SureSlim looks for several medical conditions when analysing the initial blood tests.

People with severe kidney problems should not follow the SureSlim programme and will be referred to their family physician. We have had some clients with what we call “borderline” kidneys, and we have been able to adapt an eating plan for these clients so that they can lose their weight safely, if a little more slowly. This may involve repeating some of the blood tests at intervals to ensure that all is well.

We also pay close attention to clients with any signs of severe heart disorder. A person with this condition may not be a good candidate for SureSlim’’s eating plans because of the required high fluid intake levels. Controlled weight loss can often relieve the heart of excess strain, so these clients are encouraged to follow the eating plan under the supervision of their doctors.

Q. Does SureSlim create a unique eating plan for everyone?

A. Every client receives a personalised eating plan based on his or her blood test results, food preferences, and weight-loss goals, lifestyle, religion, allergies and medical history. The eating plan SureSlim develops for you is specific to your body’s nutritional requirements.

If two people are exactly the same height and weight and have no abnormalities in their blood, they may have similar plans.

Q. What if I’m a vegetarian (or an athlete, or breastfeeding, or diabetic or…)?

A. The SureSlim eating plans can be adapted for anyone. Here are a few examples of people we’ve formulated personalised plans for: • Athletes • Business people • Pregnant or breastfeeding women • Children above the age of seven • Hindus following restricted diets • Vegetarians, including semi-vegetarians (no beef or pork; or no beef, pork or eggs); lacto and/or ovo vegetarians; vegans • People who follow kosher diets • Muslims following restricted diets • People with a variety of medical problems

Q. Is it dangerous to use someone else’s eating plan?

A.YES! You may have a pre-existing medical condition you know nothing about. Following someone else’s eating plan could seriously damage your health. Because SureSlim eating plans are personalised for each client, following someone else’s plan is not only dangerous, it is ineffective. You will not lose weight appropriately, you will not reach your target goal, and because you have not corrected your glucose metabolism, you will not maintain any weight loss.
