<p style="margin: 1.5em 0"><strong>Weight Loss Tip number 1:</strong> Try and plan your meals in advance. This will help you avoid temptation and resist having to run out to grab a quick (and possibly unhealthy) option</p>

<p style="margin: 1.5em 0"><strong>Weight Loss Tip number 2:</strong> If you are eating out, do not be afraid to ask for your food to be prepared in a special way – i.e. grilled, skin removed etc. When ordering a salad take control and ask for your dressing to be served separately. Try and avoid creamy or cheesy toppings.</p>

<p style="margin: 1.5em 0"><strong>Weight Loss Tip number 3:</strong> If you’re currently on one of the SureSlim plans then try to choose a meal that is similar to the ones recommended on your bespoke SureSlim Eating Plan.</p>

<p style="margin: 1.5em 0"><strong>Weight Loss Tip number 4:</strong> Make sure you drink plenty of water during the day – ideally at least 8 glasses. This will not only keep you hydrated, but will also help you detox from the night before and can help suppress your appetite naturally.</p>

We all know roughly how we should look and feel at our optimum weight, and usually, one look in the mirror will tell us whether we’re overweight or not. The question is, when do you decide ‘I need to Lose Weight’?<br />

Even if you’re only slightly overweight now, you should consider altering your eating habits to avoid putting any more weight on. Weight doesn’t suddenly appear overnight, you gain it gradually, over such a long period of time that you often don’t notice until you’ve gained several pounds. By brushing the issues under the carpet, you’re leaving yourself in danger of adding more weight and putting yourself at risk of some serious illnesses. Understanding that you need to lose weight is the first step to weight loss!<br />

Use our BMI (Body Mass Index) Calculator to find out if you’re currently overweight. This calculator takes your height and present weight and gives you an estimated Body Mass figure. Although this isn’t exact, it’s a good indication of whether you need to lose weight. A BMI of over 25 is considered to be overweight – if you are over 25 you should consider the fct that you may need to lose weight.<br />

You may not think it’s worth the time and expense of starting a formal weight loss programme if you’re only slightly overweight. <p><span id="more-1323"></span>All clients have a blood test, which looks at you as an individual. This blood test is not a food intolerance test. This is a fasting blood test and tests your Full Blood Count, Lipids, Glucose, Liver Functions, Kidney Functions and Thyroid.</p>

<p><strong>Why do the test?</strong></p>

<p>In order to create Diets that Work we need to know how you work! The test helps establish certain values that are essential when compiling your individual programme.  For example, if you were found to have elevated Uric Acid a purine free diet is formulated to help lower this level.  When the total cholesterol level is elevated the diet aims to reduce fats, particularly those from a non-vegetarian source and those high in saturated fats.  We also consider the FBC as some clients may have an iron deficiency; similarly the other tests contribute to the overall picture. In some instances the results will need to be brought to the attention of your GP as they may require additional investigation or treatment.  Examples are anaemia, thyroid problems or diabetes. Blood test results will be sent directly to your GP, unless requested otherwise in writing.</p>

<p><strong>Your SureSlim Diet Plan. </strong></p>

<p>Once the blood test has been medically screened we formulate your <em>individual</em> SureSlim Diet Plan.  Other factors such as your medical history, medication and food dislikes are taken into consideration.  The SureSlim Diet plan draws upon a number of different ideas about weight loss and nutrition.
