I want to tell you about my experience on the SureSlim diet programme…..   I met up with someone I knew who I hadn’t seen for some time and remarked how well he was looking and clearly lost weight. He told me all about the SureSlim diet which he had started some months before and how well it had worked for him. I decided there and then to give them a call and so after my first consultation with Julie I took up the challenge and began the programme.

I was 12 stone and for a 5ft 7in tall guy (64 going on 65) that was too much – besides I felt uncomfortable and lacked energy.

I can’t pretend that the initial 14 day detox diet was great but after a few days I became adjusted to it and was amazed at how the weight was coming off. Ever since then as my eating habits have changed for the better my weight has now stabilised at 10st 8lbs and it feels great.

As another health benefit, my blood pressure has dropped to normal levels. I have been on medication for high blood pressure for over 10 years and my GP has just reduced the dosage by half and has complimented the SureSlim programme for this. The aim is to come off it all together quite soon. I am also Diabetic type 2 and have been watching my blood sugar levels fall to normal as a result of the SureSlim diet . So it’s all good news!!

In Oct 2006 I was involved in a major road traffic accident and was immobile for a long period of time. With a further 2 surgeries performed on my feet over the next two years, my weight increased and my cholesterol was on the high side, so at the beginning of 2011 I decided that it was time for me to do something about it.

I was reading the Healthy magazine where I saw SureSlim advertised so I went online and registered for information. I soon had a phone call from SureSlim Kettering. I talked to Kate and made an appointment with her for the following week. As I had decided that I needed do to something about my weight, I said I would give it a go. I really never envisaged myself losing too much as I always seemed to be at a plateau.

I have found Kate to be very professional, pleasant and most of all very supportive and understanding at all times throughout my Healthy Eating Plan.

After following the plan for 18 weeks I have reduced my cholesterol considerably and a very big bonus is that my feet are pain free with 3 stone less to carry around. I have dropped three sizes in clothes which is amazing. I should have started sooner. I would most definitely recommend SureSlim to anyone who wants to achieve weight loss successfully.

WEIGHT LOST: 2 STONE

My name is Debra Barton and I am 38 years old. Last year my physical fitness and appearance were a personal disappointment.I had steadily gained weight for some time and I felt sluggish and self-conscious.

I discovered through blood tests with SureSlim that my Thyroid gland was not working properly and that I had high cholesterol levels.

WEIGHT LOST: 12.5 STONE!

At 25 years old and 25 ½ stone I was dragged to a SureSlim clinic, apprehensive, nervous and extremely cynical of yet another weight loss ‘scheme’ but most of all I was embarrassed. I always considered myself one of those people who was comfortable with being large, I wasn’t going to conform with society’s expectations, I was me!

In truth I was tired, both physically and mentally, tired of my thighs chaffing, tired of  suffering from shin splints whenever I walked anywhere, tired of worrying about exposing a builders bum because I couldn’t find trousers that wouldn’t fall down without a belt, a belt which I couldn’t wear as it would dig into my stomach, tired of sweating constantly, tired of feeling guilty whenever I ate in public even if it was just an apple,  tired of assessing whether a chair could hold my weight, basically I was exhausted and I was only 25!

I know this all sounds like I strode into the clinic the most motivated person in the world but in all honesty I’d given up. I felt embarrassed, sitting next to my mum as this nice lady explained to me all about SureSlim and how it worked, knowing that I had eaten more in the last 24 hours than most people eat in a week, actions I had justified like always, “I’ll start tomorrow”.

Armed with a basic outline of the program I went off to get my tests done, I thought I might as well try sticking to the basics, plenty of water, 3 meals a day and when I went in for my first weigh in I’d lost nearly a stone, in a week. I couldn’t believe it, I hadn’t even been that strict, so I tried a little harder the next week, I weighed everything, I waited 5 hours between meals, and I lost another 10 pounds, the results provided the motivation I had never had before.

12 months on and I am 12 ½ stone lighter, literally half the man I used to be! No more shin splints, no more raw thighs, no more exposing my backside (unless deliberately!!), no more guilt, in it’s place, a much happier me!

WEIGHT LOST: OVER 2 STONE

This morning I did something I have never done in my life before … I bought a pair of size 12 trousers!! I am wearing them now and it feels so, so good! And what makes it even better is the knowledge that I am in control of my weight.  I still want to lose another stone and I know that I now have the skill to do it.

I have always been large framed. As I have got older I have done every diet, joined various slimming clubs and taken every weight loss pill on the market or from the internet! The weight might have gone but it always came back, usually with a vengeance!

I got to a stage where I knew about nutrition, exercise and calorific values of most foods; over the last 15 years I rarely ate chips, pasta, biscuits or fatty foods and I had even cut out gluten but to no avail. I had reached over 14stone and the weight would not shift.

I retired in 2009 and went to the gym 3 times a week and my husband and I walked on average 15 miles a week. I went down a dress size and lost 5 lbs. Lovely! I was in a size 16 again. However, I broke my wrist in January 2010 and couldn’t do as much exercise. I stayed a size 16 but the 5 lbs crept back.

In June 2010 I saw Sureslim in the Yorkshire Post and read Linda Hannah’s story. I liked the fact that the counselling sessions were on a one to one basis.  Group therapy never did anything for me in the past.

I started on the plan and the weight started to go and kept going. I felt energised. I did not have food cravings and felt that I was in control. I realised that what made this eating plan work was ‘portion size’ and drinking the water.

I have lost 2 stone now and want to lose another stone. I am confident that I can keep it off as I shall continue drinking the water and making good food choices. Thank you SureSlim… I am indebted to you!

WEIGHT LOST : 2 1/2 stone

What can I say except that because of SureSlim I feel like I’ve been given a new lease of life. I got married Aug 2009 and although I felt good on my wedding day I wasn’t where I wanted to be weight wise. Unfortunately my weight didn’t get any better after the wedding despite the fact that I tried weightwatchers which had always been successful for me in the past. Friends used to say that it was due to contentment but I can assure you, that although I was very happy with my life, I was not content with my weight.

I became desperately unhappy with the way I looked and felt and I knew that I had to find another way to lose the weight which is when I was introduced to SureSlim. I admit I was apprehensive and sceptical at first but I also knew I had to do something and I had heard about other people’s successes with this programme so I took the plunge and booked in a 12 week course hoping that I would be slim for Christmas. What I wasn’t prepared for was the amount of weight loss in such a short space of time. I lost 2.5 stone and 19 inches in just 9 weeks and have spent the last 7 weeks maintaining my new goal weight.

I feel fantastic and my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. I could have looked even lovelier walking down the aisle.
